Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccination

Considered as the most common sexually transmitted infection in the US, human papillomavirus (HPV) can be prevented through the HPV vaccine which is available at The Children’s Clinic.

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommends routine vaccination at age 11 or 12 years. HPV4 or HPV2 is recommended for females and HPV 4 for men.

Vaccination can be started as early as age 9.

Doses are administered in a 3 dose series. usually over an 8 month period.
